Effect of nonlinear wave-current interaction on flow fields and hydrodynamic forces

A fifth-order theory for solving the problem of interaction between Stokes waves and exponential profile currents is proposed. The calculated flow fields are compared with measurements. Then the errors caused by the linear superposition method and approximate theory are discussed. It is found that the total wavccurrent field consists of pure wave, pure current and interaction components. The shear current not only directly changes the flow field, but also indirectly does so by changing the wave parameters due to wave-current interaction. The present theory can predict the wave kinematics on shear currents satisfactorily. The linear superposition method may give rise to more than 40% loading error in extreme conditions. When the apparent wave period is used and the Wheeler stretching method is adopted to extrapolate the current, application of the approximate theory is the best. 对于有限Ａｂｅｌ群Ｇ，ｔ（Ｇ）定义为其直接因子的个数，在［５］中，Ｅ．Ｋｒａｔｚｅｌ对于和式得到一渐近公式，对应余项为△＿１（ｘ）．本文利用Ｅ．Ｆｏｕｖｒｙ和Ｈ　．Ｉｗａｎｉｅｃ的方法，得到了关于△＿１（ｘ）的一个新的估计，改进了Ｈ．Ｍｅｎｚｅｒ等人的结果．     

EXPONENTIAL STABILITY AND PERIODIC SOLUTION OF HYBRID BIDIRECTIONAL ASSOCIATIVE MEMORY NEURAL NETWORKS WITH DISCRETE DELAYS

In this paper, we study the existence, uniqueness, and the global exponential stability of the periodic solution and equilibrium of hybrid bidirectional associative memory neural networks with discrete delays. By ingeniously importing real parameters di > 0 (i = 1,2, …, n) which can be adjusted, making use of the Lyapunov functional method and some analysis techniques, some new sufficient conditions are established. Our results generalize and improve the related results in [9]. These conditions can be used both to design globally exponentially stable and periodical oscillatory hybrid bidirectional associative neural networks with discrete delays, and to enlarge the area of designing neural networks. Our work has important significance in related theory and its application.

The PDE-preserving operators on nuclearly entire functions of bounded type

The PDE-preserving operators O on the space of nuclearly entire functions of bounded type H_Nb(E) on a Banach space E are characterized. An operator is PDE-preserving when it preserves homogenous solutions to homogeneous convolution equations. We establish a one to one correspondence between O and a set Σ of sequences of entire functionals, i.e. exponential type functions. In this way, algebraic structures on Σ, such as ring structures, can be carried over to O and vice versa. In particular, it follows that O is a non-commutative ring (algebra) with unity with respect to composition and the convolution operators form a commutative subring (subalgebra). We discuss range and kernel properties, for the operators in O, and characterize the projectors (onto polynomial spaces) in O by determining the corresponding elements in Σ. Hochschild Cohomologies of the Algebra of Smooth Functions

Based on the previously developed technique using the Laplace transformation of distributions with compact support, we calculate the Hochschild cohomologies of the algebra of smooth functions on a finite-dimensional real vector space with coefficients in the adjoint representation.     

An approximation property of harmonic functions in Lipschitz domains and some of its consequences

An extension of an inequality of J. B. Garnett (1979), with improvements by B. E. J. Dahlberg (1980), on an approximation property of harmonic functions is proved. The weighted inequality proved here was suggested by the work of J. Pipher (1993) and it implies an extension of a result of S. Y. A. Chang, J. Wilson and T. Wolff (1985) and C. Sweezy (1991) on exponential square integrability of the boundary values of solutions to second-order linear differential equations in divergence form. This implies a solution of a problem left open by R. Bañuelos and C. N. Moore (1989) on sharp estimates for the area integral of harmonic functions in Lipschitz domains.

     

基于指数分布的进化策略

典型的进化策略受自然进化过程的启发而成为求解全局优化问题的重要方法。传统的ES变异算子作为一个主要的进化技术是建立在正态分布的随机变量基础上的，本文提出了基于指数分布的进化策略由于采用了新的变异算子有效地减少了产生探试解的成本，从而优于传统的进化策略。

第二类变型Bessel函数Kn(z)在自变量趋于无穷时就是指数变小的，使用多项式逼近的方法求解往往误差很大．采用指数变换和J．P．Boyd的有理Chebyshev多项式计算第二类变型Bessel函数，得到了令人满意的在较大范围内有效的解．
